Ethel Greer Skinner
Ethel L. Greer Skinner was born November 9, 1892 in Arkansas. She died August 19, 1993 in Altus, Oklahoma. She married Farris E. Skinner February 10, 1918 in Celeste, Texas. He preceded her in death February 3. 1977. She was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Greer. She taught Sunday School Class in the church her father, Mr. C.W. Greer helped to organize in Merritt, Texas. She was a homemaker, Baptist, and lived in Altus since 1935.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11am Friday at the Altus Cemetery with Rev. Melvin Moody officiating. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Skinner is survived by her daughter Nell Bailey of Altus, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; one greatgreatgranddaughter; son in law Lloyd Jones, of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Gaylon Holder, James Bailey of Altus, Stan and Kenny Jones and Helen Syfert.
Mrs. Skinner was preceded in death by her husband, Farris E. Skinner, February 3, 1977, parents, eight brothers and sisters, daughter, Maxine Jones and son in law, Elmo Bailey.
