Obituary for Etta Jean Laird
Etta Jean Hestand Laird was born February 2nd, 1922 at Olustee, Oklahoma. She died September 27, 1992 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She married Howard Raymond Hestand October 5, 1940 and he preceded her in death March 22, 1980. She married Herbert W. Laird June 29, 1990 at Olustee, OK. She was a life long resident of Jackson County. She was a member of the Olustee United Methodist Church and UMW, Harmony Extension Club and the Olustee Women's Club where she held various offices.

Services are scheduled for 10 A.M., Tuesday, September 29, 1992 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Phelps officiating. Interment will be in the Olustee Cemetery. A Memorial has been established in Etta Jean Hestand Laird's name to the Olustee United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Survivors include: her Mother, Martha Drury Osborne of Mangum, OK; her husband, H.W. "Red" Laird of Olustee, OK; four children, Janice Rohde of Kansas City, MO, Barbara Pryor of Olustee, Oklahoma, Peggy Johnson Miller of Altus, OK and Sandra Pennington of Oklahoma City, OK; four brothers, Jack Drury and W.L. "Red" Drury of Mangum, OK, Bill Drury of Moore, OK and Henry Drury of Norman, OK; four sisters, Octavia Felty of Altus, OK, Nelva Jo Fancher of Olustee, OK, Leveda Wagnon of Oklahoma and Mary Whittenburg of Sapulpa, OK; 10 grandchildren, Sherry Austin, Pamela Rigsby, Brian Rohde, Scott Pryor, Monica Croft, Brad Pryor, Kyle Johnson, Darrell Johnson, Ryan Miller, and David A. Pennington; six great-grandchildren, Tara Austin, Ashley Austin, Courtney Rigsby, Jamie Pryor, Kelci Pryor and Kandice Croft.

She was preceded in death by: her Father, Wiley Drury; granddaughter, Kim Renee Pryor; her husband, Howard Hestand; a son-in-law, George Royce Johnson.
