Etta May Stephens age 71 of Altus, Oklahoma died July 21, 1966 at Memorial Hospital. He was born September 28, 1894 in Durant, Oklahoma to Roland and Sarah F. (Reyburp) Rutleage. She married V.M. Stephens May 2, 1916 in Durant, Oklahoma. She had been a resident of southwest Oklahoma since 1941.
Funeral services for Etta May Stephens are scheduled for 2:00am Saturday July 23, 1966 at Trinity Baptist Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. C.L. Abercrombie. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Etta May Stephens is survived by her husband V.M. Stephens of the home, three sons, Bill Stephens, Ft. Worth, Texas; Melvin Stephens, Tyler, Texas; Vernon Stephens, Ft. Worth, Texas; eight daughters, Mrs. E.L. Graham, Ft. Worth, Texas; Mrs. W.W. Holt, Richardson, Texas; Mrs. Flora Bennett Celina, Texas, Mrs. Claude Moore, Dumas, Texas; Mrs. Donald Potrof, Cactus, Texas; Mrs. N.W. Dale, Borger, Texas; Mrs. F.C. Bone, Altus, Oklahoma; Mrs. Paul Jones, Martha, Oklahoma; fourty two grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, one brother Claude Rutledge, Tulsa. Oklahoma.
