Obituary for Eudon Harley Watson
Eudon "Don" Harley Watson, 78, passed away at his home in Altus Wednesday, December 22, 2010, with his family by his side.

Don was born October 8, 1932, in Jasper, Georgia, to John Harley and Dorothy (Tillery) Watson. After graduation from high school, Don enlisted in the United States Army and was a combat veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He received many military awards, including the Silver Star. He served his country in the military and civil service for twenty-eight years. He married the former Wanda L. Lane of Altus on March 12, 1955, in Altus, Oklahoma.

A resident of Altus since March 1973, he and his family loved Jackson County and the many friends they made through the years. Don was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the India Temple Shriners in Oklahoma City.

Preceded in death by his parents and his precious grandson, Michael Don Watson in August of 2003, Don is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Watson of the home in Altus; three sons, Kyle A. Watson and wife Brenda Lee of Altus, Steven H. Watson of Altus, and Donald L. Watson and wife Brenda Kay, also of Altus; one grandson, Joel Allen of Altus, and a step grandson, Rusty Bruce of North Carolina.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 26, 2010, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Funeral Services with full military honors will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 27, 2010, at Lowell-Tims Chapel with Bobby Jones and Reverend Boyd Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
