Eunice J. Gresham
Eunice J. Gresham, 83, daughter of L.H. and Caroline Anderson Gresham; born August 26, 1909 at Portales, New Mexico, passed away July 29, 1993 at Bethany, Oklahoma; she moved from New Mexico with the family at an early age of three to Altus, Oklahoma, where she lived until moving to Bethany in 1979. Eunice attended rural schools near Altus, graduating from Ozark High School. She studied at Altus Junior College (now Western Oklahoma State College), Bethany-Peniel College (now Southern Nazarene University) and Trevecca Nazarene College, Nashville, Tennessee. Eunice taught in rural public schools in Southwest Oklahoma until the outbreak of World War II when she began a long career in the U. S. Civil Service at Altus Air /force Base. She retired in 1968. She was active for many years in church and Sunday School activities at Altus Church of the Nazarene (church pianist and organist).
Survived by two brothers, L. Paul Gresham and wife Martha and Luke W. Gresham, one sister, Sarah Josephine Gresham, all of Bethany; one nephew, Loren Paul Gresham and wife Linda of Bethany; one grand niece, Lynette Susanne Strawn and husband Brad of Pasadena, California, and numerous friends worldwide.
Interment at the family plot in Altus City Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the McConnell Missionary Chapter, Bethany First Church of Nazarene or to the WMS at Altus Church of Nazarene.
