Evelyn Louise Riddle, age 79, of Blair, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at her residence, in Blair.
Mrs. Riddle was born in Hess, Oklahoma on August 14, 1934, to Hulet Mack Franklin and Katherine Louise (Long) Rush. Evelyn was baptized on November 27, 1966, at the Pentecostal Church, in Altus, by Pastor Otis Chuck Garrison. On October 8, 1965, she married Billy O. Riddle and they spent the next forty-eight wonderful years together before his death on March 30, 1991. Living in the Altus and Blair area most of her life, Evelyn loved going to church, fishing and camping. A homemaker all of her life, Evelyn cared for her family and had a deep love for each family member, especially her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Evelyn was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy O. Riddle; one sister, Sylvia Seay and one brother, Paul Rush, she is survived by one sister, Alma June Kling and husband Marvin of Mulvane, Kansas; three brothers, Lynn Rush and wife Kay of Sentinel, Oklahoma, Louis Rush of Mangum and Mack Rush of Mangum along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Evelyn Riddle will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Martin Young officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tim Funeral Home of Altus.
