Obituary for Evelyn Marie Telford
Evelyn Marie Telford, age 79, long time resident of Altus died Monday, June 5th, 1989, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital following a short illness. Services have been set for Thursday Morning at 10:00 A.M. from the Lowell Memorial Chapel officiated by The Reverend Keith Wiginton. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born May 24th, 1910 at Sentinel, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Robert and Irene Telford. Marie lived in Altus all of her life and was active in the First Baptist Church and was a member of the Dorcas Class.
Survivors include: one brother, Hugh Telford of Odessa, TX; five nephews, William Telford of Huntington Beach, CA, Edward Woods of Longview, TX, Johnny Woods of Ft. Worth, TX, Bob Telford of Odessa, TX and Hank Telford of El Paso, TX; two half-brothers, Frank Telford and Lemiel Telford, both of Nashville, TN; two half-sisters, Mary Burgess of Ft. Worth, TX and Sue Williford of Cleburn, TX; four great-nieces; two great-nephews; 10 great-great-nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorials may be made to the Prayer Room of the First Baptist Church.
