Obituary for Floyd Edward Pruden
Mr. Floyd Edward Pruden, age 77, long time resident of Altus and Jackson County died Thursday night at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Saturday at Lowell Memorial Chapel, officiated by the Reverend James L. Mahan. Burial will be in Altus Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born February 8th, 1895 in Bell County, Texas, he was married in 1915, he and his wife Myrtle coming to Jackson County in 1924. He was a 1914 graduate of Texas Christian University in the school of Pharmacy, was a recipient of a Citation of Achievement from the Texas State Board of Oklahoma. He was for seven years owner and manager of Pruden Motor Co. in Altus. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Oddfellows. At the time of his death he was the owner of Pruden Trailer Courts.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Myrtle of the home, include: one son, Floyd of Ft. Worth, TX; one brother Fleet of Wellington, TX; two granddaughters and two grandsons.
