Obituary for Floyd Ward
Floyd Ward, age 80, long time resident of Roosevelt, passed away early Sunday, October 30th, 1988, morning, October 30, 1988 at the B&K Nursing Center in Hobart. Services will be held Wednesday, November 2nd at 2:00 P.M. at the Smith Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Locus Grove, OK. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery at Rose, OK with Jones-Wilson-Cunningham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born October 10th, 1908 at Dennison, TX. He was the son of Thomas and Margaret Ward. He married Azell Monk March 19, 1945 at Dickens, TX. They moved to Roosevelt in 1958 and were members of the First Baptist Church of Roosevelt. Mr. Ward was a retired farmer.

Survivors include: his wife, Azell Ward of the home; one son, Andy T. Ward of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; two daughters, Alice Faye Greear of Snyder, OK and Janice Verelen Long of Tuttle, OK; two sisters, Babe Sorrows of Tuscon, AZ and Violet Willet of Conroe, TX; eight grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

Local arrangements are with Lowell Funeral Home.
