Obituary for Foy Imogene Pike
Foy Imogene Pike, age 69, of Altus, Oklahoma, was born July 13th, 1927, in Magazine, Arkansas, the daughter of the late J.V. and Voise (Penick) Marshall. She was a longtime resident of Southwest Oklahoma; they moved to Clinton in 1950, later moving to Thomas in 1964, returning to Altus in 1970. Mrs. Pike passed away Monday, October 14th, 1996, in the Jackson County Memorial Hospial after a sudden illness.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 1996, in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Jack McKeown officiating. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
On November 1, 1946, she and James Pike were united in marriage in Altus, Oklahoma. Mr. and Mrs. Pike were former owners of Pike's Sandwich Shop. Later she worked for several years at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital and the Altus Medical and Surgical Clinic. She was a member of the Thomas Street Church of Christ.
The family will greet friends at the Funeral home on Wednesday meeting from 6:00 to 8:00 p,m, Memorials may be made to the Tipton Home, Tipton, OK or the Manuelito Navajo Children's Home c/o Thomas Street Church of Christ, Altus, Oklahoma.
Survivors include: her husband, James Pike of the home; two children, Diane Pike Hall and husband Gary of Altus, OK and Steve Pike and wife Sharon, also of Altus, OK; one brother, Lynn Marshall of Farmington, MO; two sisters, Reba Duncan of Granite, OK and Treva Alexander of Altus, OK; two grandchildren, Daphne Lindsay of Altus, OK and James "Gym" Hall also of Altus, OK; one great-grandson, Jorden Skyler Colhauer of Altus, OK.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; twin sons, James Marshall Pike and John Franklin Pike; one brother, Leonard "Buddy" Marshall; and one sister, Dorothy Rice.
