Obituary for Francis E. Brown
Francis E. Brown age 73, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, December 11, 1997 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He was born February 2, 1924 in Coushatta, Louisiana to the late Charles Joseph and Celestine (Bosley) Brown. Francis served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Upon completion of his naval duties he entered the United States Army as a Licensed Practical Nurse retiring after 20 years of service. He was a former Hollis resident. He had lived in Altus for the last 10 years. On March 31 1951 in Honolulu, Hawaii he and Bertharene O"Keefe were united in marriage. She preceded him in death. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, December 12, 1997 at 2:00pm in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery with Full Military Honors under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Brown, Jr. and wife Charla of Shreveport, LA., Sammy brown and Judy of Shreveport, LA., Hobert Lee Brown and Cathy of Altus, OK., Jimmy Dale Brown and Susan of Altus, OK., Nancy Gail and Lucas and Ed of Lebanon, Mo., Anita Kay Chrisman and Ken of Jonesboro, GA., brother, Joseph Brown of Clearwater, FL., youngest sister; Amelia Fofton of Shreveport, LA. sister; Rowena Carter of Shreveport, LA, Lessie of Bossier City, LA. Mary McAmis of Port Gibson, Mississippi, Betty McGee of Bossier City, LA., Josephine McCain of Campti, LA., 13 grandchildren 3 great- grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, wife 3 brothers and one grandson.
