Obituary for Frank Anthony Haferland Jr.
Frank Anthony Haferland Jr., age 53, died suddenly at the Altus AFB Hospital. He was born in Humphrey, NE on July 1, 1931. He was a member of the USAF for 27 years, assigned to Altus AFB in 1969 and retired here in 1976. Mr. Haferland was a partner in Altus Aircraft Repair, Inc. and had been an instructor in aviation at WOSC.
Mr. Haferland was very active in the Knights of Columbus where he was District Master of the State of Oklahoma, District Deputy, Faithful Navigator of the Fourth Degree, Grand Knight of the Third Degree and a member of the state Exemplification Team. He was also a member of AFSA and AOPA.
He is survived by his wife Lenna of the home here in Altus; one son, Tony Haferland of Altus; two daughters, Jane Haferland of Altus and Mrs. Jeff (Lydia) Hawkins of Lawrence, KS; five sisters; two brothers.
His parents, four sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
A Rosary Service will be held Tuesday, June 18, 1985 at 7:30 P.M. at the Lowell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 19 at
10:00 A.M. with burial at the Restlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations, may be made to the Center of Family Love for Retarded Adults, P.O. Box 245, Okarche, OK 73772.
