George Harvey Roach, 76 of Blair died at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Wednesday. Services are scheduled for 2:00pm Friday at the Blair Church of Christ officiated by Ardron Hinton and Marland Mason. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery.

Roach was born September 4, 1915 at Duke. He was the son of J.A. and Clemmie Roach. He was a Service Station Operator for many years until his retirement. He was a World War II Veteran serving with the 314th Infantry Regiment and was awarded the Bronze Star.

Mr. Roach is survived by his son Harold Robins and his wife Diana of Altus, Oklahoma; sisters, Alta Acott of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Elsie Avery of Loveland, Texas; sister-in-law, Louretta Roach; four grandchildren.

Mr. Roach was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Robins Roach in 1983; son, Kenneth George Roach in 1985; daughter, Sylvia Van Cleave in 1991.
