George Marvin Moon died September 22, 1965 at Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma. He was born August 21, 1897 in Texarkana, Texas to Garret and Sarah Moon. George and Veda Tilley were married April 26, 1926.

George Moon is survived by his wife Veda of the home, one daughter, Mrs. Charles Foster of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two brothers, Estell Moon of Gould, Oklahoma; W.J. of Hobbs New Mexico; two sisters, Mrs. Howard Wade, Gould, Oklahoma; Mrs. W.B. Hamilton, Altus, Oklahoma; one step-sister, Mrs Harold Robbins, Gould, Oklahoma.

Services for Mr. Moon are scheduled for Saturday September 24, 1965 at the Methodist Church in Altus with Rev. Lee Bowles officiating. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
