George Washington Sikes age 76 of Altus, Oklahoma died January 12, 1966 at Memorial Hospital in Altus. He was born June 2, 1889 in Montague County Texas. He moved to the Eldorado, Oklahoma community in 1900. He married Kathryn May Randolph in 1910 in Eldorado. He retired in Altus, from a car dealership in 1936.
Funeral services for George Washington Sikes are scheduled for January 14, 1966 at 3:00pm, First Baptist Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. Jack Parker. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
George Washington Sikes is survived by his wife, Kathryn of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Caldwell, Garden Grove, California; Mrs. Melba Jones, Midland, Texas; Mrs. Verdine Clark, Del City, Oklahoma; Mrs Merdine Hughes, Altus, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one brother, Jim Sikes, Chickasha, Oklahoma; three sisters, Tessie Jones, Holdenville, Oklahoma; Annie Taylor, California, Donnie Blivet, California.
