Reba Geraldine "Gerry" (Weber) Alexander Thompson, age 89, a longtime resident of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.

Gerry was born in Northwest Georgia on January 30, 1929 to her parents James Porter "J.P." and Lena Mae (Kendrick) Weber. She grew up in Northwest Georgia (Little Murray) until the family moved to Olustee, Oklahoma where she graduated from Olustee High School. Throughout the years Gerry lived in Olustee, Oklahoma City, Lawton, Houston, Texas, Alexandria, Louisiana, Wichita Falls, Texas and many years in Altus. She worked at Sears in the finance department in Oklahoma City and several retail shops in Altus. Gerry took care of her family and the farm where she enjoyed gardening and farming. On April 16, 1981 Gerry married Bobby Joe Thompson in Altus and they have enjoyed over 37 years of marriage together. Gerry was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus and she cherished the time spent with her family and friends and she will be missed very much.

Preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Kenneth Weber; Edward Eugene "Gene" Weber; Larry Michael Weber; and Bruce Lynn Weber; one sister, Wanda Nell Weber. Gerry is survived by her husband Joe Thompson of Altus; her three sons: William Don Alexander and wife, Dianne; Douglas Clay Alexander and wife, Debbie; and Jerry Wayne Alexander and wife, Candice; stepdaughter, LaDaun Leverett and husband, Walt; seven grandchildren: Brian Alexander and wife, Debbie; Julie Alexander; Kristi Alexander Walton and husband, Michael; Staci Alexander Hollar and husband, Randy; Jeremy Alexander; Jordan Leverett and wife, Jessica; and Dylan Leverett; nine great grandchildren: Lindsy Alexander, Lauren Alexander, Deborah Alexander, Madison Alexander, Owen Leverett, Oliver Leverett, Allie Hollar, Chase Hollar, and Josie Hollar; other family members include: Jackie Weber Kenmore and husband, Terry; Keith Kirby and wife, Patty; Beverly Kirby Jackson and husband, Michael; Randy Weber and wife, Sandy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.

The family will receive friends at visitation from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday evening, October 4, 2018 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Altus with Pastor Doug Altom officiating.

Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus.
