Obituary for Gertie Lee Thomas
Gertie Thomas was born January 6, 1912 in Altus. she was the daughter of the late Joe Henry and Lillie (Fink) Cain. She died September 8, 2003 in Altus.

Gertie married Adron Wilson Thomas, March 16, 1935 in Altus and he preceded her in death, August 17, 1977.

Gertie was a life long resident of Altus and Jackson County. He hobbies included crocheting, gardening, and her grandchildren.

Survivors include one son robert of Sulphur, Oklahoma; three daughters Julia Ann Loper of Neosho, Mo. Sandra Jo Tiernan of Altus and Billie Azlin of Altus; twelve grandchildren a host great grandchildren and one half sister Irene Richter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Services for Gertie Lee Thomas are scheduled for 2 pm Thursday, September 11, 2003 at the Altus Cemetery with Mac McGuire officiating. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
