Obituary for Gilbert H. Goodlow
Gilbert H. Goodlow, age 73, of Altus, Oklahoma was born April 16, 1923 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of the late Ernest and Arlillia "Gilbert" Goodlow. He was a longtime resident of Jackson County. Mr. Goodlow passed away Monday, July 1st, 1996, in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Funeral Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 8, 1996, in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
On May 12, 1941, he and Jessie Mae Weaver were united in marriage at Altus, OK. Mr. Goodlow was a retired employee of the Co-op.
Survivors include: his spouse, Jessie Mae Goodlow of the home; eight children, all of Altus, OK, Henry Goodlow, Charles Goodlow and wife Patricia, Ricky Goodlow, Marcus Goodlow, Lanaisse Goodlow, Richard Goodlow, Sharon Ricks and husband LeRoy of Lawton, OK and Henrietta Whitehead and husband Otis of Lawton, OK; one brother, Haywood Goodlow of Altus, OK; two sisters, both of Lawton, OK, Mary Compton and Tessie Mae Johnson; 36 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; a daughter, Sophia Goodlow; son, Arthur Frank Goodlow; two sisters, Lessie McKever and Ophia Thomas.
