Gladys M. King age 88, of Altus, passed away March 24, 1986, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Gladys was born March 18, 1898, in Cundiff, Texas to Christopher and Mattie (Smith) McCright. She married Jeff D. King February 14, 1923. He preceded her in death in 1958. Gladys was a life time member of Rebecca's and member of W.O. W. Circle. She lived in the Warrren and Friendship community for several years before moving to Altus in 1942.
Funeral services for Gladys M. King are scheduled for Thursday, March 27, 1986 at 2:00 pm in the First United Methodist Church, Altus, officiated by Vernon Tinsley and Rev. Gilbert Peters. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Gladys is survived by one son, Donald d. King of Marana, Arizona; two daughters, Thelma Arney, Altus, Oklahoma; Elsie Summers, Harrah, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
Gladys was preceded in death by Eugene in 1974.
