Glenda Marie Clark, age 60, of Altus, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 18, 2013, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, in Altus.
Mrs. Clark was born on June 14, 1953, in Altus, to James C. and Iomia (Crowley) Durrough. A 1973 graduate of Altus High School, Glenda has made Altus her home throughout life. On December 10, 1982, she married James Clark and they have lived in Altus ever since. Glenda loved spending time with her friends and family, but she also loved a good game of pool and dancing.
Preceded in death by her parents; one son, one granddaughter; Tashaeanna Clark; one grandson, James Antonio Nicholas Clark; two brothers, Robin Durrough and Edward Durrough and one sister Clowese Durrough, she is survived by her husband James of the home; four sons, Antonio Clark and special friend Akeeia Edwards of Lawton, Mitchell Clark and special friend Alyson, James Clark III and wife Jaighla of Altus and Nicholas Clark and special friend Shay Vickers of Altus; five sisters, Barbara Durrough of Altus, Delbra Anderson of Virginia; Theda Johnson and husband Ronald of Ft. Worth and Paula Mitchell of Altus and Angela Clark of Altus; five brothers, James Durrough, Jr. and wife Shirley of Altus, Melvin Durrough of Lawton, Bert Durrough and special friend Carla of Duncan, Jay Durrough and wife Melody of Altus and Earnest Thomas of Altus; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild and a host of other family members and friends.
Graveside services will be at 9 a.m., Saturday, September 21, 2013, at the Altus City Cemetery with Rev. Dwayne Jones officiating. Services are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
