Obituary for Glenn Ann Sommers
Graveside service for Glen Ann "Nanny" Sommers, 82, Lawton, will be 11:00am Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Altus City Cemetery with _David Steward officiating. Glen Ann passed away, Thursday, May 26, 2011, in Lawton. She was born May 21, 1929 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Glen and Clara Sommers. Nanny spent many years of her life caring for her nieces and nephews who were the light of her life. In later years, she loved playing dominoes at McMahon Tomlinson Nursing Home, doing arts and crafts, and listening to music, especially Elvis Presley. Nanny never met a stranger and had a smile for everyone she met. She is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother in law, Colleen and Red Kirby, sister, Betty Jane Sommers, and sister Peggy Starwalt.
