Obituary for Gordon Glenn Lockman
Gordon G. Lockman, a beloved resident of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away on November 28, 2024, at his home, at the age of sixty-five.
He was born on May 21, 1959, in San Diego, California, to Kenneth G. Lockman and Jo Ann H. (Stout) Lockman. Gordon was raised and educated in the San Diego area, where he graduated from Patrick Henry High School and began laying the foundation for a life full of hard work and dedication.
Gordon spent much of his career as an inspector with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, where he was known for his professionalism and tireless commitment to ensuring the safety of those he worked with. He took immense pride in his work, always making sure his colleagues had the safest conditions possible. He was a hardworking, reliable, and fun-loving individual who was respected by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him. Gordon had planned on retiring from ODOT this March after 25 years of service.
Outside of his career, Gordon was passionate about the "Four C's" that brought him the most joy: his children, cornhole, cards, and the casino. His love for his children was unparalleled and he always found pure happiness in spending time with them. Whether it was playing cornhole, enjoying a card game, or taking a trip to the casino, Gordon's zest for life was evident in everything he did. His laughter, smile, and infectious spirit will be forever cherished by those who knew him.
Gordon was preceded in death by his mother, Jo Ann Lockman; and his brother, Jay T. Lockman. He is survived by his father, Kenneth Lockman; his three children, Stacey Lockman, Glenn Lockman, and Robert Lockman; his brother, Paul Lockman; his sister, SuAnn Lockman Rich; along with his nephews, nieces, many friends and a host of coworkers whom he considered family.
A celebration of Gordon's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Tutten officiating.
Gordon's legacy of kindness, laughter, and devotion will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and colleagues. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love and joy he brought into the lives of everyone around him.
