Obituary for Gregory Merton Patterson
Gregory Merton Patterson, age 56, of Granite, Oklahoma, passed away September 1, 2002. Services, under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home of Altus, are set for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2002 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at a later time, at the Fort Sill National Cemetery.
Greg was born April 30, 1946 at Des Moines, Iowa, to parents George Merton Patterson and Dorothy Marie Davis Patterson. He was united in marriage to Rita Rae Springsteen on December 30, 1972 at Papillion, Nebraska. Greg served 29 years in the United States Air Force, where he worked as a weather forecaster. He was proud of his military service. Greg retired in 1995 from the Air Force.
Greg is survived by his wife, Rita of the home; son, Glenn Meridith Patterson of Granite; mother, Dorothy M. Patterson; sisters, Sally Ann Kranenberg and Linda Lynn Patterson.
He was preceded in death by his father George Patterson.
