Obituary for Guadalupe Flores Ramirez Jr.

Guadalupe Flores Ramirez, Jr., age 58, of Altus, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 3, 2013, at his residence, in Altus.
Mr. Ramirez was born in Alton, Texas, on November 11, 1954, to Guadalupe and Arcelia Maria (Flores) Ramirez. Moving to Frederick, Oklahoma in the mid 1960"s, Guadalupe was employed, in the maintenance department, with Frederick Schools. In 1971, he met the love of his life, Rosemary Hill, and on July 28, 1973, he and Rosie were married in Lawton and spent the next thirty-nine wonderful years together before his untimely death. In 2003, they moved to Altus and he worked ten years at Foxes, later at Grace Living Center and at English Village Nursing Home until his health began to fail. Guadalupe loved his family and being involved in their activities, but in his spare time he enjoyed playing the accordion, fishing, camping or any outdoor activities.
Preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Nina Olivera and four brothers, Lolo Ramirez, Joe Ramirez, Eloy Ramirez and Gamaliel Ramirez, he is survived by his wife, Rosie Ramirez, of the home, in Altus; two children, Melissa Doake and husband Brian of Sentinel and Christopher Ramirez of Altus; four grandchildren, Brianna Doake, Christina Ramirez, Dominique Scrimage and Dylan Ramirez; two great grandchildren, Michael and Mason; one brother, Rudy Ramirez and wife Fina of Frederick; four sisters, Maria Ramirez of Frederick, Paula Bengochea of Mississippi, Arcelia Rodriguez of Florida and Betty Mendoza of Kansas along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Guadalupe Ramirez, Jr., will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
