Obituary for Harold D. Nichols
Harold D. Nichols, age 82, of Eldorado, Oklahoma, died at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital on Friday, December 11th, 1992.
Services are scheduled for 1:00p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Eldorado officiated by Rev. Kenneth Coleman, assisted by Rev. Mitch Whittington. Burial will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Born September 25, 1910 at Eldorado, Oklahoma, he was the son of Tom and Ada Nichols. He married Decie Leister on September 22, 1935 in Altus. He farmed and ranched near Eldorado and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eldorado. He had been a member of the Eldorado Lions Club for over 50 years.
Survivors include: one daughter, Edwayna Hooper and her husband Jimmy of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; a close friend, Vera Wood of Eldorado; one grandchild, Michelle Hooper of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Mary Nichols Meadows of Elk City, OK; two sisters, Daphne Jackson of Kinwood, TX and DeeDee McKinney of Edinburough, TX.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Decie Nichols; a son, Denny Nichols - July 14, 1992; his parents; one brother, Elmo Nichols; one sister, Mable Foster.
