Harold L. Edwards age 54, of Altus, Oklahoma died March 26, 1982 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Harold was born February 18, 1928 in Waco, Texas to Grady H.and Thelma Edwards. He married Betty Gaines April 29, 1949 in Waco, Texas. Harold served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Korean War. He worked for Owens Illinois Glass Company for fifteen years.
Harold was very active in several organization including the Masonic Lodge, associated with the Boy Scouts, Cub Master at Sunset School Troop 273, founder of Red River Bass Association and member of Order of Eastern Star. He had been a resident of Altus since 1965.
Funeral services for Harold L. Edwards are scheduled for Monday, March 28, 1982 at 11:00 am in Tims Chapel, Altus, officiated by Sonny Tims. Burial will follow in Waco, Texas under the direction of Wilkerson and Hatch Funeral Home. Local arrangements are under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Edwards is survived by his wife, Betty of the home in Altus; son, Terry Edwards, Altus, Oklahoma; daughter, Michelle, Altus, Oklahoma; mother, Thelma Edwards, Waco, Texas; sister, Jean Childress, Grand Prairie, Texas; two nieces, Cynthia Childress, Grand Prairie, Texas; Alicia Childress, Grand Prairie, Texas.
