Harvey Benjamin Ardry, age 83 of Altus, passed away late Tuesday evening, January 23, 2007, at his home.
Mr Ardry was born on May 5, 1923, at Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Pete and
Elizabeth ( Jones) Ardry. He married Edith Elizabeth Wood at Vernon, Texas in 1969, and she passed away in 2005. Living in southwest Oklahoma most of his life, he was a truck driver for many years for Altus Cotton Oil Mill and Kizziar Feed Lots. Mr. Ardry attended the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ and loved fishing, raising a garden, especially growing peppers, and spending time with his family and friends
.
Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four brothers, one sister and a step-son, he is survived by three children, Del Ardry of Altus, Arlene Deem and husband Scott of Altus and Gary Risinger of Elk City: four step-children,
Robert Killam of Enid, Robin Chester of Tacoma, Washington and Dennis Killam of Altus; three sisters, Nan Thomas, Patsy Bell and Faye Moore; two brothers, Tommy Ardry and Ray Ardry and many other relatives and friends.
A private family service has been scheduled with inurnment at the Altus City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
