Obituary for Harvey Wayne Redelsperger
Harvey Wayne Redelsperger, age 75, and longtime resident of Russell, Oklahoma, passed Monday, November 23rd, 2020 at his home.

Harvey was born in Altus, Oklahoma on November 28, 1944 to his parents Harvey and Myrl (Wade) Redelsperger/ Harvey grew up in Gould, Oklahoma where he was a proud graduate of Gould High School and went on to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Harvey served his country in the United States Army National Guard for over ten years before receiving an honorable discharge from the military for his service. Harvey worked for New York Life Insurance Company for many years with offices in Hobart and Altus, Oklahoma. Harvey married his childhood sweetheart, Judith Carole Redelsperger in Dallas, Texas in 1997. Harvey and Judy enjoyed over twenty-three years of marriage. Harvey and Judy resided in North Richland Hills, Texas until moving to rural Harmon County, Oklahoma where Harvey farmed and ranched. . Harvey grew cotton and wheat on his farm and raised pedigree Longhorns and Angus cattle.

Harvey was a member of Russell Baptist Church and enjoyed preparing and teaching Sunday school classes. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Farmers and Ranchers Association. Harvey enjoyed traveling with his wife, Judy, spending time with family and friends, and tending to his Longhorn cattle.

Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandra Sue Redelsperger; Harvey is survived by four sons, Harvey Wayne Redelsperger, Jr. of Elk City, Oklahoma, Jeffery Wade Redelsperger of Denver, Colorado; Chad Carter and wife Holly of Monroe, Louisiana and Michael Perry of Weatherford, Texas; one daughter Kimberly Whittaker of Denver Colorado; two brothers, John Redelsperger and wife Karen of Enid, Oklahoma, David Redelsperger and wife Jan of Duncan, Oklahoma; one sister Donna Aduddell and husband Kendall of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Ashlyn Leigh Redelsperger, Cara Lynn Redelsperger York, Braedyn Lee Whittaker; Zoe-Hope Perry, Elise Faith Perry, Madison Love Perry, Antany Renfro; six great-granchildren, Biggs Allen Renfro, Maddox Joe Renfro, Avry Lee York, Adrian Ray York, Adam Wayne York and Grayson Bradley Bell; Family, Frances Riley of Duke, Oklahoma; Many beloved neices and nephews; Best Friend, Bobby Whorton of Hollis, Oklahoma; Neighbor and friend, Robert Whorton of Gould, Oklahoma; and numerous other beloved family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gary Baird officiating.

Internment will follow at the Russell Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
