Obituary for Hazel Marie Oakley
Hazel Marie Oakley, 75, longtime Altus resident, passed away Thursday. June 3, 1999. Memorial services have been scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Boyd Whitehead and J.V. Lobaugh officiating. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Hazel was born December 1, 1923 in Oktaha, Oklahoma to the late Bert and Ina (Page) Baldwin. She married John Oakley May 19, 1945 in Wichita Kansas. They came to Altus in July of 1966 from savannah, Georgia. Mrs. Oakley retired as a cook from the Altus High School in 1988, after over 30 years of providing good, nutrious meals for our children.

Mrs Oakley was a long time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She devoted her life to her family and friends and was a joy to be around.

Survivors include; Husband John Oakley of he home in Altus, four children, Suzy Brock and husband of Tony of Moultrie, Georgia, Brenda Beauchamp and husband Phillip of Altus, Oklahoma, Bob Oakley and wife Liz of Edmond, Oklahoma, Gail Van of Altus, Oklahoma; one sister Mildred Godi of Denton, Texas, nine grandchildren, Chris Brock and wife Evelyn, Andy Brock, Scott Brock and wife Sonya, Colette Bram and husband Doug, Heath Daniels, Amanda Walker and husband Jason, Willie Daniels, Jeremy Gardner, Heather Brown and husband Josh, five great-grandchildren, Jake Brock, Adalynn Brock, Tyler bram, Preston Bram, Jonas Walker.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bert and Ina Baldwin, one sister, Faye Haynie, one brother, Bert Baldwin, Jr.

Family will have visitation Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel.
