Obituary for Hazel Mozelle Gardner

Hazel Mozelle Gardner passed away Monday, August 5th, 2002, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma.

Hazel was born January 10, 1922 at Chattanooga, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late John O. and Lottia V. (Parks) Orman. She graduated from Consolidated #11 High School
near Davidson, Oklahoma. She married W. E. Orr on June 11, 1938 in Walters, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on February 20, 1975. On February 2, 1979, Hazel and James J. Gardner were united in marriage at the First Baptist Church in Altus.

She was a Civilian Payroll Accountant at the Altus Air Force Base before retiring in 1984. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, W.E. Orr; one sister, Pauline Varner; and by one brother, Etta Ray Orman.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, James of the home in Altus; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jay L. and Margaret Orr of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Aries R. and Lois Orr of Deer Park, Texas; one stepson, Dr. James L. Gardner and his wife Jeannie of Hot Springs, Arkansas; three sisters and their husbands, Dorothy and J. D. Wilson of Moab, Utah, Adell Hatch of Fort Worth, Texas and June and Doyle Barker of Del City, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
