Obituary for Helen Crumpton
Helen Rea Crumpton, age 77, former Jackson County resident, died Monday in Lakewood, Colorado . Services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Pate officiating. Interment will follow in the Rogers Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Mrs. Crumpton was born in Gilman City, Missouri on June 16, 1916 to W. B. and Robbie J. Gusewelle. The family moved to Oklahoma when Helen was a young girl. She graduated from Snyder High School. She and Carise Crumpton were married on September 16, 1936. They moved to a farm in Jackson County near Headrick in 1943. She was a member of the Altus First United Methodist Church. She had served as City Clerk of Headrick for 18 years.

Survivors include: two children, Linda Sue Mansur and husband Larry of Littleton, CO and Sheridan Hulse and husband Kent of Lathrop, MO; one sister, Jean Feltus and husband Jim of Colorado Springs, CO; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her husband - April 19, 1986; her parents; one brother, Charles.
