Obituary for Helen Grider
Helen Grider, age 87, long-time resident of Altus, Oklahoma, died at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 15th, 1992.
Services are scheduled at 10 A.M., Monday, May 18, 1992 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Grant Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
She was born November 28, 1904 in Limestone County, Texas. She was the daughter of Bernard and Lela Harper. She attended Altus schools graduating from Altus High School in 1925. On March 19, 1938, she married Edgar Grider at Martha, OK. She had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church since 1919 and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years along with being Circle Chairman and President of the Women's Work for some time.
Survivors include: two brothers, Warren Steele of Altus, OK and Alford Ray Steele of California; step-daughter, Marrion Steven of Altus, OK; granddaughter, Sue Burke, of Cache, OK.
