Herman Warren Medlock
Herman Warren Medlock, 80 passed away Monday, March 20, 1995, at Sparks Hospital in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Herman was born February 3, 1915, in Childress, Texas, the son of the late William Lee and Ida Minta (Powers) Medlock. He grew up in the Olustee community. On April 6, 1935, he married Josie Mae Hamersley, a Eldorado resident at Eldorado, Oklahoma. Josie preceded him in death on July 14, 1994.
Mr. Medlock retired from the Oklahoma State Highway Department and from Washingon School as a crossing guard. He had worked at Cameron Wholesale for many years. Herman was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Medlock was a very happy person. He loved life and he loved people. In return, everyone loved and enjoyed being around him.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Josie Mae Medlock; two sisters, Lois Thompson and Pauline Stewart; one daughter, Wanda Packard; and an infant son.
He is survived by two sons, two daughters and their spouses, Glenn and Sue Meklock of Alma, Oklahoma, Mary and James Easley of Altus, Kenneth and Shelia Medlock of Alma and JoAnn and John Fletcher of Cashion, Oklahoma; one brother Bill Medlock of Altus; sixteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
