Obituary for Hershel Gilbert Brown
Herskel Gilbert Brown of Altus, Oklahoma passed away June 7, 1964. He was born September 29, 1895 at Pilot Point, Texas to S.T. and Ada (Nelson) Brown. He married Tresse Bellenger March 4, 1916. He had lived in Jackson County since 1908, was a retired farmer and a member of the Friendship Methodist Church.

Funeral services for Herskel Gilbert Brown are scheduled for June 9, 1964 in the Tims Chapel with Rev. O.E. Weeks officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, two sons Ivan Brown, California; Kenneth Brown, Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. S.T. Pickett, Altus, Oklahoma; Mrs. Irene Clanton, Lawton, Oklahoma.
