Obituary for Hershel Nelson Burrow
Hershel Nelson Burrow, age 65, long time resident of Humphreys, died Thursday, April 7th, 1983, following an extended illness.
Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Sunday afternoon at the Southside Baptist Church, officiated by The Reverend Don Beall. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born February 2, 1918 in Tipton, he was married at Altus to the former Ruby Vanderpool. He was the son of pioneer resident, the late W.A. "Bill" and Irene "Ellis" Burrow. He was a retired farmer in the Humphrey community and a member of the Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include: five sons, Sonny and Jimmy Burrow of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Billy of Humphreys, Dwight of McAlester, Donald of Parachute, CO; two daughters, Janet Patton of Edmund and Judy Corbeill of Humphreys; two brothers, Clitus Burrow of Amarillo, TX and Vern Burrow of Altus, OK; six grandchildren.
