Obituary for Ida Mae Jewell
Ida Mae Jewell, life long resident of Jackson County, passed away Friday, January 12, 2001 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services have been scheduled for 1:30pm Wednesday, January 17, 2001 at Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Elder Brian O'Hair and Pastor Helton fisher officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. The family will be receiving guests from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday evening at the Lowell-Tims funeral Home.

Ida Me was born June 30, 1914 at Davidson, Oklahoma to Andrew Jackson and Leona (Crim) Folley. She married John Jewell and he preceded her in death in 1956. Ida Mae attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha. she was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family, painting and walking. She was a very active individual.

Mrs Jewell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; two brothers, Louis and Charles Folley; and by two sisters,, Glenna Seabolt and Joliet Kosek.

She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Stotzer and her husband Robert of Altus, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Ericka and Diego Urrutia of Hillsboro, New Jersey and Eilleen Warnick and husband Pat of Union, New Jersey; four great-grandchildren, Casey, Jake, Paige and Marcus. Also surviving are four nieces and a nephew.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Altus Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1304 N. Chalmers.
