Obituary for Imogene Risinger
Imogene Risinger, age 75, of Altus, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2006, at English Village Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.

Imogene was born on October 17, 1930, in Duke, Oklahoma, to Arthur Houston and Mattie Elizabeth (Pearce) DeFord. She married W.J. Risinger on September 25, 1948, in Vernon, TX, and they went fifty-seven wonderful years together.

A life-long resident of Jackson County, Imogene worked in the home and cared for everyone around her. When Imogene's mother became ill she stayed with and cared for her. Imogene loved her family and took care of her children and grandchildren and tried to meet their every need.

Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Billy DeFord and Delbert DeFord, and one sister, Frances Graham.

Imogene is survived by her husband, two daughters, four grandchildren, one sister, four brothers, and three great-grandchildren.
