Obituary for Ina Alma McDowell
Ina Alma McDowell was born September 28th, 1905 at Lone Wolf, OK. She was the daughter of the late Alvin and Mollie Bain. She died October 9, 1996 following a long illness. She married Corbin Champion McDowell July 8, 1925 and he preceded her in death September 20, 1971. She was a longtime resident of Altus and Jackson County. She was a homemaker and longtime member of the Assembly of God church.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 11, 1996 at the Altus City Cemetery with Rev. Dave Bucher officiating. Funeral is under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: three children, Billy Joe McDowell of Altus, Oklahoma, Mark Steven McDowell and Rodney McDowell, both of Altus, Oklahoma; one brother, Rufus Bain of Fresno, CA; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Bill, Donald C., Haskell, Fred and Alvin Bain; two sisters, Birdie and Evenlen Bain; one son, Aulcy Ray McDowell.
