McDaniel

Inez Marcella Sanders Leonard McDaniel, age 94, resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2014, at Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Inez was born in Dodson, Texas, on January 11, 1920, to Hurshel Henry Sanders and Margie Lucretia Trout Sanders. She married Marion Raymond Leonard and they had two children, Charles and LaWanda. After the death of Raymond, Inez moved to Jester, Oklahoma, to rear her children and run the Jester Store with her parents.

March 13, 1964, Inez married Carl A. McDaniel, and they lived in the Brinkman community and then in Mangum. They spent happy years enjoying international travel and living in Florida in the winter. They were members of Mangum First United Methodist Church where Inez taught Sunday School for many years. Inez also worked as the accounts receivable clerk for Leeway Motor Freight for several years.

After the death of Carl, Inez moved to Siloam Springs, Arkansas, to be near her son Charles and his family. She joined the Siloam Springs First Methodist Church where she made many friends.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents, two beloved husbands Raymond Leonard and Carl McDaniel, daughter Lawanda Leonard, son Charles Leonard, son Milton McDaniel, and grandson Robert Flowers. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Barbara Leonard of Siloam Springs; daughter Carleene McDaniel Flowers and husband Tony of Orlando, Florida; daughter-in-law Carolyn McDaniel of College Station, Texas; grandchildren Aaron Ray Leonard and Carl Ray Leonard and wife Charissa of Siloam Springs, Tom McDaniel of Oklahoma City, and Virginia Flowers Hernandez and husband Emmanuel of Tijeras, New Mexico; great granddaughter Ariel Judith Leonard of Siloam Springs; a niece Mary McDaniel Kruska and husband Paul of Altus, Oklahoma; and many relatives and friends. Inez is remembered being happiest when she was entertaining family and treating them with wonderful meals and desserts.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2014, at the Brinkman Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Siloam Springs First United Methodist Church, Mangum First Methodist Church, or Brinkman Cemetery Fund.
