Obituary for Ira Fletcher
Funeral Services for Ira "Skinny" Fletcher, age 78, of Altus, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 1996 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery. S. K. Robinson and Ray Fletcher will officiate.
Mr. Fletcher passed away March 22, 1996 in Altus. Mr. Fletcher was born December 10, 1917 in Gracemont, Oklahoma to Arch and Mae (Carpenter) Fletcher. He married Delma Dorene Dyer in Chickasha, OK on April 3, 1939. Mrs. Fletcher preceded him in death on May 1, 1989. Mr. Fletcher was the owner and operator of Fletcher Transfer & Storage until his retirement. Family will be receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 25,1996 at Lowell Tims Funeral Home. Lowell Tims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include: four daughters, Sharon Reynolds and husband Floyd of Overland Park, KS, Brenda Lanza of Lawton, OK, Jeanie Cole and husband David of Altus, OK, Debbie Whiting and husband Michael of Altus, OK; three sons, Durwin Fletcher and wife Elaine of Lawton, OK, Jimmy Fletcher and wife Linda of Lawton, OK and Michael Fletcher and wife Dorinda of Lawton, OK; one sister, Verda Hays of Lawton, OK; 15 grand-children and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Delma Fletcher, May 1, 1989; and one brother, Earle Fletcher.
