Irene was born March 22, 1906 in Blair, Oklahoma to Charlie and Nannie Irene Wilson. She married C. C. Copeland in 1924 in Blair, Oklahoma. She had been a resident of Altus since 1944.
Funeral services for Irene Copeland are scheduled for Saturday May 8, 1982 at 2 pm in the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. Bill Davis and rev. Vernon Tinsley. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

C. of the home in Altus; sons Gene Copeland, Altus, Oklahoma; Glenn Copeland, Altus, Oklahoma; one sister Emma Knoerr, Houston, Texas; one brother, Billy Wilson, Pampa, Texas; two granddaughters, Kelly Law, Midland, Texas; Glenda Groves, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandsons, Rocky Copeland, Altus, Oklahoma; Mark Copeland, Edmond, Oklahoma; Boone Copeland, Lawton, Oklahoma; two great grandchildren, Melissa, Karissa Law, Midland, Texas.
