Obituary for James Edward Rucker
James Edward Rucker, age 51, long time resident of Tipton died near Tipton Monday. Services will be held Saturday at 2:00pm from the Mt. Gillian Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Theron Booker. Burial will be in the Tipton Cemetery under the direction of the Freedom Funeral Chapel.

Rucker was born June 15, 1939 at Roxton, Texas. He was a farm worker most of his life.

Survivors include his mother, Ida Lee Simpson of Tipton, one son James Ray Rucker of Port Arthur, Texas; two daughters, Shirley Rucker and Lisa Ann Rucker both of Port Arthur, Texas; three brothers, Charles Ray Simpson of Ft. Worth, Texas; Henry James Simpson of Tulsa, and Larry Simpson of Lawton; six sisters Wilma Burton of Dallas, Dorothy Danna of Lawton, Ernestine James of Lawton, Ruby Mae Hill of Tipton, Debra Simpson of Lawton and Lafonda Crowder of Lawton.
