James Levi Brownlow was born in Henderson County , Texas on September 28th, 1889. He passed away at 0918 A.M., September 27, 1967 at his home in Eldorado, OK of a heart attack. He was married to Cloe Alta Berry at Henderson, Texas on October 13, 1907. He came to Jackson County in 1907. He was a retired farmer.
He was survived by: his wife of the home; three sons, Cecil Brownlow of Eldorado, Harold Brownlow of Eldorado and Curtis Brownlow of Quanah, Texas; one daughter, Bobbie Black of Eldorado; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Rena Beauchamp of Sinton, TX, Mrs. Myrtle Robbins, Mrs. Willie Gossett, Mrs. T. L. Denton and Mrs. Jack Rumbo, all of Eldorado; three brothers, Mr. Guy Brownlow and Mr. Oscar Brownlow of Abernathy, TX and Mr. Erskin Brownlow of Houston, TX.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ in Eldorado at 3:00 P.M., Thursaday September 28, 1967 with burial in Eldorado Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
