Obituary for Jane Anne Abernathy
Jane Anne Abernathy, age 62 of Blair, passed away September 2, 2001. Services are set for 2:00 pm Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ Of the Latter-Day saints in Altus. Bishop Dennis Brown will Be conduction and burial will follow at Blair City Cemetery.
Jane was born June 25, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to parents Grady Edward and Sarah Isabell Davis. she was married to Johnie Loyce Abernathy on October 2, 1959 in Vernon, Texas. They enjoyed many happy years of marriage. Jane worked for many years in Los Angeles, California as a travel agent for American Express Travel. Recently, they had moved back to the Altus area to be near family. Jane enjoyed quilting and traveling. she was also active at her church, where she served in many different ways.
Jane is survived by her husband, Johnie of Blair; son, Lance an wife Carmel Abenathy of Reseda, California; daughters, Theresa Rodriguez of Arleta, California, Cindy Abernathy and Virginia "Ginny" Abernathy, both of Blair, Oklahoma; brother, Tommy Davis and Wife Elveta of Blair; mother-in-law, Virginia D. Abernathy of Culver City, California; sister-in-law, Lana Chiarolla and husband Bobby; seven grandchildren, Eddie Mendoza and wife Nancy, Tony Mendoza, Jessica Frias and husband Gabriel, Bobby Henandez, Natalie Romero, Ian Abernathy, Eryn Jane Abernathy and four great-grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Johnie Lee
