Jane (Janie) Evans, age 78, of Mangum, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Evans was born on March 16, 1932, to Henry and Helen (Swetnam) Daniel in Louisville, Kentucky. She married her junior high school sweetheart, Henry M. Evans, in Hawaii, where he was stationed, and they were married fifty-six wonderful years before his death on November 27, 2008. She was a loving wife and mother who was loved by her family and friends. After her husband"s death in San Antonio, she moved to Mangum to be near her daughter. Mrs. Evans was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of San Antonio Aerie 70 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors include, her daughter, Melissa Kyle and husband Mike of Mangum; two sons, David and Tim and their wives Sharmon and Dina; five granddaughters; two grandsons; one great granddaughter and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer fund through the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 2230 Hunt Lane, San Antonio, TX 78227.
Funeral services for Jane Evans will be conducted in San Antonio, Texas through arrangements with Greer Funeral Home of Mangum. Interment will be at Mission Park Cemetery in San Antonio.
