Jasper L. Nation
Jasper L. Nation, age 97 of Friendship, Oklahoma was born June 28, 1899 at Ellis County, Texas to the late Absolum Nation and Margaret (Gilmore) Nation. Mr. Nation passed away Thursday, January 30, 1997 at Altus House Nursing Home. Funeral Services are scheduled for Sunday, February 2, 1997, at 3:00 p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Madison Clinton Officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home. Mr. Nation retired from farming in the late 1970's. He enjoyed going to Senior Citizen's Center, and playing dominoes with many of his friends. Many hours were spent watching his grandchildren playing sports. He was a longtime member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
Jasper was preceded in death by his Wife, Louella Nation on December 14, 1975, his parents, two daughters and a grandson. Also six brothers and one sister.

Junior Nation and Jo Lawton, Oklahoma
Trula Kastner and Charles Altus, Oklahoma

Thirteen Grandchildren, Thirty Great Grandchildren, Three Great Great Grandchildren, and a son-in-law Bill Hudgens of Altus, Oklahoma.
