Jan Jarvis, 74 year old Altus resident passed away at her home Tuesday evening, July 5, 2016. Jan was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on May 18, 1942 to her parents Henry and Caroline (Gallegos) Padilla. Jan grew up in Wyoming and had also lived in Nevada and Utah. On June 13, 1981 she married Jeffrey Lynn Jarvis in Elko, Nevada and they enjoyed over 35 year of marriage together. She enjoyed going on drives and was an avid Elvis fan. Jan was always a much put together lady and her greatest joy in life was being able to take great care of her family.

Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard and Junior Padilla; and her granddaughter Katie Graveman; Jan is survived by her husband Jeff of the home; her four daughters, Melinda Graveman of Wyoming; Carrie Cosby of Altus; Melanie Brown and her husband Matt of Altus; and Jamie Jarvis of California; two sisters, Joan Summerill and her husband Norman of Utah; and Bernice Jorgensen and her husband Lee also of Utah; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.

Private family services will be held following cremation arrangements under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory of Altus, Oklahoma.
