Obituary for Jerril Ray Jackson
Jerril "Bill" Ray Jackson Sr.,69 , resident of Hollis, Oklahoma passed away November 7, 2018 at his home in Hollis, Oklahoma.
Bill, as he was known by his friends, was born November 10, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Gary and Reva (Anderson) Jackson.
Bill was raised and educated in Gould. He joined the Army in 1968 and was stationed in El Paso Texas. Bill was a Falcon driver which he would proudly tell you wasn't a tank. During Vietnam the Army ordered his Falcon to Vietnam but didn't order the driver. During this four month highatis he learned to cook. This skill gave him to ability to cook the best Sunday breakfast that his wife, children and grandchildren refereed to as the best breakfast in the world. Bill met Cindy Burge and they were married April 9, 1971 in Wellington, Texas. He was known as a hardworking, family man, that always put his family before himself. He had a parenting style that was unique and unorthodox. He would allow his children to learn thru trial and error. Which over the years developed many humerus stories.
Survived by wife Cindy (Burge) Jackson, of the Home, daughter J'Cinda and Shayne Stripling, son Jacob Jackson and wife Rebecca of Pampa, Texas, Grandchildren Jesa Jackson, Jennifer Washington and Cam, Sky Jackson and Caleb, Star Green and Conner, Kayli Jackson, Peyton Dugger, Jaxon Dugger, Great grandchildren Emily Washington, Tatum Herring, 2 sisters Wilve Jackman, Rena Hendricks, Numerous Nieces and Nephews
Preceded in death by son Jerril Ray Jackson, Jr. parent, sister Glenda Jackson and brother Glenn Jackson.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday November 10, 2018 at Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis, Oklahoma with interment to follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
