Obituary for Jerry Glenn Marquart
Jerry Glenn Marquart 81, was born September 21, 1938 to Gilbert Leon Marquart and Lillie Mae (Bass) Marquart in Olustee, Oklahoma and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He attended Prairie Hill School till the 6th grade and graduated from Duke High school and then attended Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Jerry worked at the Altus Air Force Base Housing Project as a carpenter, worked on the Missile sites as a millwright an carpenter, then he built houses for two years as a private contractor. He was a Board Plant Supervisor at Republic Gypsum for ten years, before going into farming and ranching full time.

Jerry served on the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Board for thirty four years, the Duke City Town Council for twenty five years and nine years on the Oklahoma Farm Service Agency Committee. He served on the National Bank of Commerce Advisory Council, the Olustee coop Board, Duke Farmers and Merchants Bank Board and was a Retired Duke Volunteer Firefighter.

He is Survived by his wife; Karla Marquart of the home, a daughter; Mitzi Lynn Marquart of Azle, Texas, and a son; Kacy Wade Marquart of Duke, Oklahoma.

Sisters; Wydon Warren and husband Troy Warren of Lawton, Oklahoma; Vida Hamar and husband Jerald of Hyrdo, Oklahoma.

Mother-in-law, Adelia Hughes of Altus, Oklahoma; Sister in-law, Nancy Carter of Lubbock Texas and Brother-in Law, Lannie Hughes of Duke, Oklahoma.

Nieces and nephews: Michael Warren, Lawton, Oklahoma; Denise Warren Howard and husband Kevin and sons Mitchell and Garrett of Springfield, Missouri; Pendra Hamar Cook and husband Terry and their son Kason of Hyrdo, Oklahoma; Lanny Hamar of Hydro, Oklahoma, Mark Carter and wife Sharon and their daughters Amanda and Emma of Lubbock, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Father in-law; Melton H. Hughes; Brother in-law; Gary Carter and Sister in-law; Minerva Hughes.

The Marquart family will receive friends 6:00 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. Friday March 6, 2020 at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home, Altus, Oklahoma.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Prairie Hill Cemetery in Duke, Oklahoma. with Eddie Beard officiating.
Services are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, Altus, Oklahoma.
