Obituary for Jessie Lee Lankford
Jessie Lee Lankford, 94, of Duke, passed away Sunday, November 19, 1995, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services have been scheduled for 10:30 am Wednesday, at the Duke Church of Christ with Ardron Hinton and Bill David Walker officiating. Interment will be in the Prairie Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Mrs Lankford was born November 1, 1901 in Caney Springs, Tennessee. On January 3, 1923. she married Hesker L. Lankford in Chapel Hill Tennessee. Jessie came to Jackson County to make their home in 1923. Mr. Lankford preceded her in death on January 3, 1994.
Mrs. Lankford was a long time member of the Duke Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and refinished and upholstered furniture for many years.
Survivors include children; Edwin Dwayne Lankford and Barbara A. of Lawton, Oklahoma; Reva Joan Owen and Ronald of Reno, Nevada; five grandchildren, Randy Keith, ivin roger, Reva Nadine, Pamela Ann, and Michael Wayne.
She was preceded in death by parents, 10 brothers and sisters, husband; Hesker L. Lankford 1-3-94; granddaughter Carmen MeChel.
